As your therapist, we will approach our work together through trauma-informed, relational, culturally sensitive, and psychodynamic lenses, offering space to reflect on how past and present experiences live in the body and mind.
Therapy with us is not just about symptom relief—though we’ll absolutely focus on practical, evidence-based tools drawn from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, and other trauma-informed modalities. It’s also about fostering greater insight, expanding your sense of agency, and creating more choice in how you respond to the world around you and in your relationships.
Where appropriate and comfortable, we will also utilize the power of intuition from our relational attunement to access and incorporate imagery, somatic sensation, and guidance as a way to connect outside of the traditional dialogue and intellectual processing of talk therapy. This often allows for a deeper, more body- and emotion-focused way of accessing valuable information that may be otherwise difficult to articulate.
Psychodynamic therapy is a collaborative, insight-oriented approach that helps individuals explore how early relationships and unconscious patterns influence present relationships, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through a deeper understanding of these dynamics, clients can develop greater self-awareness and lasting emotional change. This increased self-awareness creates space for meaningful change, emotional freedom, and more intentional ways of relating to self and others.
The integration of Internal Family Systems (IFS), structural dissociation theory, and reparenting techniques can help support deep, compassionate healing from complex trauma. We help clients build relationships with their inner parts—especially those formed in response to overwhelming experiences—while honoring the protective roles they’ve played. Using the framework of structural dissociation, we gently explore fragmented or dissociated parts of self in a way that feels safe and empowering. Reparenting practices offer clients the opportunity to nurture unmet needs with care, attunement, and a sense of inner stability.
We support clients process trauma by utilizing Brainspotting, parts work, and principles of neuroscience to access and release deeply held emotional and somatic experiences. This approach supports the brain’s natural capacity to heal by targeting both the unconscious storage of trauma and the protective parts that have developed in response. Together, we create a safe space for the nervous system to regulate and for clients to reconnect with their inner resilience and sense of self.
Brainspotting is a brain-body-based therapy that uses eye position to access and process trauma, emotional pain, and deeply held experiences. By harnessing the brain’s natural healing ability, Brainspotting helps release stuck emotions and promote lasting change.
LGBTQ+ affirming therapy deeply understands the complexities of navigating identity, relationships, and systemic oppression. This space is rooted in safety, authenticity, and cultural humility, where your whole self is welcome—without the burden of having to explain or educate. Whether you're exploring gender, sexuality, coming out, or healing from marginalization, our work centers your lived experience with care and respect. Together, we focus on fostering resilience, self-trust, and meaningful connection in a world that often misunderstands us.
Attachment therapy focuses on understanding how early caregiving relationships influence current patterns of connection, emotional regulation, and self-worth. It helps clients identify and shift attachment styles—such as anxious, avoidant, or disorganized—that may be impacting their relationships and sense of safety. Through a secure therapeutic alliance, clients begin to develop corrective emotional experiences that foster trust, intimacy, and self-compassion. This work can be especially powerful for those navigating trauma, relationship challenges, or a deep sense of disconnection.
Relational-cultural therapy centers on the healing power of relationships, both within and outside the therapy space, to explore how past and present connections shape a person’s sense of self. It offers a space to explore how early and current relationships shape your sense of self, patterns of connection, and emotional responses. Through a genuine and collaborative therapeutic relationship, clients can experience new ways of relating that foster self-awareness, trust, and deeper self-understanding.
